Newsletter
Your newsletter collects the customers who chose to receive your news. From Newsletter, under Marketing in the main menu, you ask customers for their consent, follow who subscribed, export your subscribers to import them into your mailing tool, and prepare campaigns. If you use Brevo, your subscribers can also be sent to your Brevo lists automatically.
Let customers subscribe
Nobody is subscribed by default: a customer subscribes only by ticking the newsletter box themselves.
- Open the main menu and, under Marketing, click Newsletter.
- Click the Settings tab.
- On the Consent at registration card, click Edit.
- Set Newsletter opt-in forms to On.
- Click Save.
The message Settings saved. appears. Your account creation form now offers an optional newsletter box, and subscribing from the footer of your shop asks for explicit consent.
Note — The box is never ticked in advance. Switching the question off later does not unsubscribe anybody.
See your subscribers
- In Newsletter, click the Subscribers tab.
- In Consent, choose Subscribed, Unsubscribed or Subscribed and unsubscribed.
- In Market, keep All markets or choose one market.
The list shows each Customer, their Consent with the date and how they subscribed, their Brevo synchronisation and the number of Campaigns meant for them.
Unsubscribe a customer
When a customer asks you to stop sending them your newsletter, withdraw their consent.
- On the Subscribers tab, find the customer.
- Click Withdraw at the end of their row.
- Tick I confirm this customer asked to be unsubscribed.
- Click Unsubscribe.
The message The customer is unsubscribed. The next synchronisation takes them off your Brevo list. appears.
Important — A withdrawal is final: only the customer can subscribe again. The date of the withdrawal is recorded with the customer.
Export your subscribers
- In Newsletter, click the Export tab.
- Click Export subscribers.
- In Market, keep All markets or choose one market.
- In Subscribed during, choose a period, such as Any time, Last 30 days or Custom dates. With Custom dates, enter at least one date in From or To.
- Click Download the file.
A CSV file downloads with the customers who are subscribed today, ready to import into a Brevo list. The export is listed on the Export tab; click Download on its row to build it again from today's answers.
Note — An unsubscribed customer is never in the file. If nobody matches your choice, the message No subscribed customer in this selection. appears.
Prepare a campaign
A campaign is a mailing you prepare for all your subscribers or for those of one market.
- In Newsletter, click the Campaigns tab.
- Click Add a campaign.
- Enter a Name and, optionally, a Description.
- In Recipients, choose All subscribers or the subscribers of one market. The number beside each choice is the subscribers who can be reached today.
- Click Save.
The message The campaign has been added. appears. To change or remove a campaign, click Edit or Delete on its row.
Note — A campaign is saved as a draft: your workspace does not send it yet.
Connect your Brevo account
- In Newsletter, click the Settings tab.
- On the Brevo card, click Edit.
- In API key, paste the key created in your Brevo account (in Brevo, under SMTP & API, API keys).
- Optionally, enter a Double opt-in template number, a Default list number and your Lists by market — one market per line, its code then the list number, for example
fr = 12. - Click Save and check. The message Connected to Brevo. appears.
- To send your subscribers to Brevo, click Edit on the Consent at registration card, set Brevo synchronization to On, then click Save.
Every few minutes, new subscribers are added to the Brevo list of their market and unsubscribed customers are taken off it.
Tip — With a double opt-in template number, Brevo first sends each new subscriber your confirmation e-mail and adds them to the list once they click it. Left empty, subscribers join the list at once.
