Add your first product

Your catalog is organized in categories, and each product belongs to one. To put your first product on sale, create a category, add the product to it with its price, then give it an image. Both screens are under Catalog in the main menu.

Create a category

1. Open the main menu and, under Catalog, click Categories.
2. Click Add a category.
3. On New category, enter its Name. This is the only required field.
4. Leave Parent category on No parent (root category) to create a top-level category.
5. Click Create category.

The message The category has been created. appears. Your category is ready to use and appears on the All categories tab.

Tip — To create a sub-category, choose an existing category in Parent category.

Add a product

1. Open the main menu and, under Catalog, click Products.
2. Click Add a product.
3. On Add a product, enter the product's Name. This is the only required field.
4. In Category, choose the category you created.
5. In Price, enter the product's price. The currency of your shop is shown next to the label.
6. Optionally, fill in Description, Reference (SKU) and the opening Stock.
7. Click Add the product.

The message The product has been added. appears, and the product is in your catalog.

Note — Left empty, Stock means the product starts with no stock. You can complete the price, reference, description and stock later from the product's page.

Add an image to your product

Images are added from the product's page, once the product exists.

1. In Products, click the All products tab, then click the name of your product.
2. Click the Images tab.
3. Under Main image, click Add an image.
4. In Image file, choose a picture from your library. If it is not there yet, click Open the upload window, add your file, then close the window.
5. In Main image, choose Yes, then click Save.

The image becomes your product's cover. You can add up to 20 secondary images the same way, under Secondary images, leaving Main image on No.

Tip — A square image of 512 × 512 pixels is recommended. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, up to 2000 KB.

Check that your product is in its category

1. Open the main menu and, under Catalog, click Categories.
2. On the All categories tab, click the name of your category.
3. Click the Products tab.

Your product is listed with its price and stock. If it is missing, open the product and check its Category.
