Press articles

Press articles record what magazines wrote about your shop: the magazine, the day the piece ran, its language, its address, the magazine's logo and the sentence your storefront quotes from it. Each article is stored once, and every press band on your storefront reads it, so a correction is made in one place. Everything happens in Press articles, under Marketing in the main menu.

Add a press article

  1. Open the main menu and, under Marketing, click Press articles.
  2. Click Add a press article.
  3. On New press article, enter the Magazine. This is the only required field.
  4. Optionally, choose the Publication date.
  5. Optionally, choose the Language the article is written in, or leave No language.
  6. Optionally, enter the Article address — the full address of the piece, starting with https://.
  7. Optionally, enter the Quote: the sentence the press band prints on the card, without its quotation marks.
  8. Optionally, pick the Magazine logo from your media library, or click Upload a file to add a new one.
  9. Click Save.

The message The press article has been created. appears. The article is ready to be shown by your storefront's press bands.

Note — The Article address must start with http:// or https://, and the Quote is limited to 300 characters; otherwise the article is not saved and the form tells you what to fix. For the logo, a wide mark on a transparent background reads best: about 320 × 120 px.

Tip — Closing the upload window reloads the form, so upload the logo before you fill in the other fields.

Note — A press band shows the articles written in the visitor's language, and the English ones when there are none. An article with no language counts as English.

Find a press article

  1. Open Press articles, then click the Search tab.
  2. In Search a press article by magazine, type the magazine name.
  3. Click Search.

The matching articles are listed with their Status, Publication date, Language and Logo. Click Detail on a row to open the article. If nothing matches, No press article matches your search. appears.

Tip — The list of all articles shows the most recent publications first; the overview shows the ten latest.

Edit a press article

  1. Open the article: click Detail at the end of its row.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. On Edit the press article, change the fields you want — Magazine, Publication date, Language, Article address, Quote or Magazine logo.
  4. Click Save.

The message Changes saved. appears. Every press band that shows the article uses the new version at once.

See which press bands show your articles

  1. Open the article. Under Press bands drawing it, you see how many press bands show it, including bands set to show every article.
  2. For all your articles, open Press articles and click the Settings tab. The Press bands box shows the Bands on this shop and the Articles they draw.
  3. Click Shop sections to add a band or choose which articles it shows.

A press band is a section of a shop page. To put your articles on the storefront, add a Press band section in Pages and sections.

Remove a press article

  1. Open the article.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. On Remove this press article, check the Magazine, the Publication date and the number of Press bands drawing it.
  4. Click Remove the article.

The message The press article has been deleted. appears. The article leaves every press band that showed it; the bands keep their other articles.

Note — The removal is reversible: the article keeps its data and nothing else is erased. A band left with no article shows nothing at all.
